Parade

After a very enthusiastic and spirit filled pep-rally the afternoon of Thursday, September 23rd ,2010, the students excitement burned like fire on a torch and then spread throughout the entire Manor Community. On Thursday evening, the Manor staff, faculty, students and community celebrated their homecoming game with a parade from Manor Downs to the field where the bonfire started.

As soon as the bell rang for dismissal, the students hustled to the Manor Downs where the parade started. Presidential Meadows Elementary showed their spirit for their school to start the procession. Some of the students in their karate uniforms, from Manor Kickboxing Center, showed off their skills to the crowd. The Sonic float came after, showing a ‘mascot’ of a Sonic Cup. The Decker Ravens came next showing their pride and their motto, “On Time, On Task, and On a Mission.” Soon after Manor Middle School came and showed their future Mustang pride.

Then our stars of Manor High School came, the Manor Mustang Football Team. Cheering and screaming, they were pumped and ready to bring down the Elgin Wildcats. They were followed by their supporters, the Manor Cheerleaders, who also showed their Mustang pride. After our own football team, the Manor Middle Football team showed their Manor spirit and the Cross Country team for Manor High were just as enthusiastic for our school and their start to a very successful year.

As the parade died down, everyone made their way to the field where the bonfire was soon to start.
